Storefront¶
One screen.
The customer portal¶
Storefront
What a customer sees when they sign in themselves. Staff can open it and act on a customer's behalf; a customer never sees that picker and can only ever see their own data.
What you see¶
A banner in the storefront's own colours, then two selectors — which storefront, and (staff only) which customer to act as.
Seven tabs: Shop, My Orders, Deliveries, Most Ordered, Top Sellers, Promotions and Statement.
On Shop: the catalogue at their contracted prices, with promotions marked — the list price struck through and the offer price in bold — a stock badge, and a quantity box on every row.
On Statement: what they owe, their credit limit, and every open invoice.
Fields¶
| Field | What goes in it |
|---|---|
| Storefront | The full catalogue, or one of the consumer sites. It switches both the catalogue and the pricing basis. |
| — act as customer — | Staff only. A customer never sees it. |
| Qty | One per catalogue row. |
Buttons¶
| Button | When you can use it | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Place order | Only once at least one quantity is above zero. The count is in the label — Place order (3 lines). | Places the order. There is no basket page and no confirmation step; afterwards the quantities clear and the screen switches to My Orders. |
Rules this screen enforces¶
- The stock badge is information, not a block. A customer can order something marked out of stock — for a distributor that is a real order, and it is how a customer signals demand for a line that is between containers.
- A portal order goes through approval like any other.
- Deliveries shows the same tracking chain the warehouse advances.
When there is nothing to show¶
| Where | What it says |
|---|---|
| My Orders | No orders yet |
| Deliveries | No shipments yet |
