Plan & licence

Setup › Plan & Licence shows what your company may use and on what terms. Everyone can see it; only administrators see the licence details and the AI controls.

Line What it tells you
State Active, in grace, read-only, or why not.
Managed by app.consoletium.com for hosted companies; Licence file for a self-hosted one.
Valid until The last day of the subscription or licence.
User seats Active staff users against the number on your plan. Customer-portal users are not counted.
Modules Every module, whether it is on, what it needs, and what it covers.

Changing modules (hosted)

Add or remove modules from your account at app.consoletium.com. The change reaches your company within a minute; nobody needs to sign out.

  • Removing a module never deletes anything. Its menus go, its screens say the module is not on your plan, and its data waits. Add it back and everything is where you left it.
  • A module that needs another works only while that one is on (see Modules), and you cannot remove a module another one still needs.

User seats

Creating a user, or reactivating one, needs a free seat. When every seat is taken, the system says so and creates nothing: deactivate someone who has left, or add seats to the plan. Deactivating a user keeps everything they did in the records and the audit trail.

When a subscription or licence lapses

Consoletium never locks you out of your own books.

Situation What happens
Up to date Everything works.
Within 30 days of a licence's expiry Everything works; this screen warns.
Expired, inside the grace period (30 days unless agreed otherwise) Everything works; a banner says when it becomes read-only.
Past the grace period, or a hosted account suspended for non-payment Read-only: every screen opens, reports run and exports work, but nothing can be posted or changed.
Self-hosted with no licence, or one that does not verify Read-only, Finance Core only, with the reason on this screen.

Paying the invoice, or installing a renewed licence, restores everything immediately; no data is lost in read-only mode.

Installing a licence (self-hosted)

A self-hosted installation runs under a licence file from Consoletium. It lists your modules, your seats and the dates, and is signed so it cannot be altered.

  1. Sign in as an administrator and open Setup › Plan & Licence.
  2. Under Install a licence, paste the whole licence as it was sent, including the -----BEGIN CONSOLETIUM LICENCE----- and -----END CONSOLETIUM LICENCE----- lines.
  3. Click Install licence.

The licence is checked before it is saved; a licence that has been altered or belongs to another installation is refused with the reason. A renewal is installed the same way and replaces the old one. Upgrading Consoletium does not affect the licence.
